Features
Consists of two main parts
- Profdoc system administration console
- Profdoc user interface
1. The Profdoc system administration console (Profdoc Console)
is used to define the central topology and security-policy set-up of an installation. Through the Profdoc Console it is possible to configure Profdoc to a broad range of user groups, from stand-alone single physician practices to large regional healthcare networks with multiple large and small healthcare units using a common centralized application and database.
Main features of the Profdoc Console are:
- definition of unit types (one or many running separately or together)
- definition of user categories (doctors, nurses, assistants etc.)
- definition of medical record types (possible to have different medical records for family doctor, specialists etc.)
- definition of user categories (doctors, nurses, assistants etc.)
- set-up of access levels (between units, users and medical record types)
- set-up of signature policies (for and between the user categories)
- definition and set-up of registers (such as diagnosis codes, ATC-codes, consultation types, reimbursement tariffs etc.)
- set-up and integration of co-working equipment and applications (such as ECG, Spirometry, lab-equipment etc.)
2. The Profdoc user interface
provides a unique combination of patient centric and medical staff centric working modes. The medical staff centric functions (My work) allows the user to work in the context of “my self” and perform a multitude of tasks covering a multitude of patients, e.g. documents to sign, lab results to review, incoming referrals, internal messages etc.
The patient centric functions (Patient) allow the user to work in the context of a single specific patient and review all relevant information and perform numerous tasks which automatically refers to the individual patient. Even though it is possible to work with several patients simultaneously, information regarding different patients is never displayed together in the Patient-mode, to eliminate the risk of mixing information between different patients.
In addition to the My work and Patient features, the Profdoc user interface also includes functionality for local user set-up and configuration to tailor the user interface for individual preferences.
For all modules and all data in the system, there is an audit trail with complete tracking of who entered and modified data.
