Internet is fully integrated with Profdoc. Using the built-in web-browser and a secure Internet connection, the user can access patient related information in a very efficient way. In addition, Internet also opens for the patient to access certain information in Profdoc.

MIMS

When prescribing medication, the information in the MIMS drug database is available with all the latest updates and information about pharmaceuticals. Profdoc's web-browser automatically hooks up to the MIMS-server and shows the product information for the selected drug. This provides additional information without the need for extra mouse clicks.

Guidelines

Various web-based guidelines can be reached, for example to be used when samples are taken for laboratory analysis.

ECG-system

It is possible to hook up to an external ECG-system from the patient’s medical records and show the patient’s ECG in the web-browser.

Order monitoring

The patient can himself monitor the progress of his laboratory order as it progresses in the delivery chain.

Booking

Patients with Internet access can book and reschedule their appointments in those wards which have opened up for and allocated “Internet hours”.
