Activity planning
What to do?
The activity planning module manages what to do with a patient. When a responsible person decides to do something with a patient, this is recorded as a new activity in the system.
The new activity is stored as a document object in the patient’s case record file together with other recorded and on-going activities. Regardless of who and where the activity is recorded, it is shown among the on-going activities.
An activity initiated and recorded in the emergency department follows the patient throughout the continuum of care in the organization. Should blood pressure medication three times per day be prescribed and entered as an activity, it will follow the patient until an authorized person decides to end the medication.
What has been done?
When an activity is finished it is marked as completed. The completed activities stored in the patient’s case record files give rise to important information used to measure and manage the organization.
Assessment
An activity can be assessed an unlimited number of times. Blood pressure may for instance be measured three times per day and registered through the activity planning module. It is easy to follow all assessments within each activity.
Activity plans
In Profdoc, you can create structured activity plans with multiple activities based on the patient’s needs and/or problems. Each patient activity to be performed and assessed is tied to the activity plan. Activity plans can be pre-defined in templates within each department, ward or care unit.
Ward or care unit activity list
Each department, ward or care unit can generate a list for each day about all activities to be performed. The list shows what activities are going to be performed on which patients. The activity list is an important tool to monitor and ensure that all prescribed activities are being performed
